Her work blends magical realism, psychological suspense, and historical depth, exploring how landscapes shaped by conflict mirror characters burdened by grief, moral uncertainty, and a search for meaning.
Drawing on lived experience—from interviewing insurgents and documenting genocide records to opening a restaurant in Myanmar—Badgley crafts authentic stories rooted in resilience.
