Meet Elaine Evans, featured at Everett Mercantile during the Everett Art Walk. Elaine is a fine artist working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, with subjects ranging from portraits and landscapes to still life and expressive contemporary work. She earned her BA in Fine Art with a concentration in painting from California State University, Northridge, and continued her figurative and classical studies at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.
Her work has been featured in galleries and juried exhibitions, including the Riverside Art Museum, and she has created numerous commissioned portraits and beloved pet portraits. For Elaine, painting goes beyond simply capturing a likeness. Her intuitive approach seeks to capture the personality, spirit, and emotional presence of her subjects.
