Kiplee Art Featured at Sno-isle Food Coop January

The past 4 years Kippi has been discovering and practicing many different mediums and techniques through her experimental abstract work in charcoal, pastel and acrylic. It is through the discovery of inks and their unbridled fluidity that she found her art began to truly come to life and with which she believes most closely reflects her heart and personality. She utilizes acrylic paint, pigments, charcoal, pastel as well as beeswax within her work. Her ink work includes a carefully mixed color palette and she utilizes pouring, her hands, air, brushes and gravity to guide the ink, working both flat and at the easel.

Born and raised in Camas Washington, Kippi enjoyed a 20 year career as the owner and CEO of her own furnishings, remodel and Interior Design Company. Prior to marrying and relocating to Everett, Kippi travelled solo to Italy in September of 2013 where she believes, a brief moment of seeing the discarded carvings of Michelangelo in the Museo dell’ Academia would bring to her a passionate desire to, not just decorate homes but to create the art she would so often place with her clients.

Her return from that life changing trip was marked by purchasing charcoal and pastels determined to create a future for herself filled with learning and growing as an artist. In 2014 she met and within 6 months married her love Gregory and once relocated to the Seattle area began to create art professionally. Her love of travel to Italy nourishes her creativity, it has been the inspiration for many of her paintings. She creates at her art studio in the Georgetown area of Seattle. Kippi would describe her art as airy, atmospheric and complex with rich elements to capture the eyes of the viewer. Find her work at www.kipleeart.com & https://www.facebook.com/kipleeart

Art is always shown in the “co-op’s dining area” until close at 9 pm at 2804 Grand Ave, Everett, WA 98201
